About the Captain

Captain Erik holds a 25-Ton U.S. Coast Guard Master Captain’s License and is a licensed guide in the state of Georgia. He grew up on the shores of Lake Superior, developing a lifelong passion for fishing while chasing lake trout, salmon, walleye, musk, and anything else willing to bite.

Captain Erik has taken that freshwater passion to the salt, spending his days targeting redfish, flounder, trout, tarpon inshore, as well as battling king mackerel, barracuda, red snapper and other offshore giants. In his spare time, he also serves as a captain for Jekyll Island Boat Tours. Whether you’re looking to fish, sightsee, explore local history, or enjoy an eco-tour, Captain Erik is ready to get you out on the water.

The Vessel

Captain Erik has owned more than 30 boats over his lifetime, but his platform of choice for pursuing saltwater fish is the Everglades 243- a versatile, confidence-inspiring vessel built to perform. Perfectly suited for the shallow marshes, yet more than capable of handling offshore chop, this boat delivers a smooth, safe ride in a wide range of conditions.

The evergaldes 243 is powered by a Yamaha 300-horsepower outboard, providing reliable performance. For anglers, the boat is fully outfitted with dual Garmin multifunction displays, VHS Radio, a Minn Kota Terrova trolling motor, and a Minn Kota Raptor shallow water anchor.

Safety is never an afterthought. In addition, to all the required safety equipment, Captain Erik carries an EPIRB, a backup VHF radio, and a satellite communication device-because preparedness matters.

Captain Erik believes a few simple things: Safety on the water, The idea that there’s always another boat worth dreaming about, and th philosophy of “One More”- one more case, one more spot, one more fish.
